The site was viewed from Gladys Avenue and I am satisfied that the trees have not been detrimentally affected by the work in relation to the garage and I therefore have no objection to the retrospective part of the application. The applicant has not provided any Arboricultural detail for the proposed brick boundary wall which may impact the Oak nearest the gated entrance. An Arboricultural Method Statement will need to be submitted to demonstrate how this work will be carried out with the tree in situ. However, it should be noted that a bracket fungus was observed around the base of this Oak and it would be advisable for it to be inspected by a suitably qualified individual to carry out a more detailed inspection.
