Thank you for consulting Environmental Health regarding the above applicati=
on. I have reviewed the proposals and supporting documents.The proposed dev=
elopment site is adjacent to North Road (B2148) and there is a railway line=
 and station nearby. As such, there are concerns that future occupiers of t=
he proposed residential dwellings may be exposed to elevated noise levels.=
=C2=A0
Environmental Health has no objection to the proposals, providing the follo=
wing condition is included, should permission be granted.=C2=A0
Internal noise levelsPrior to first occupation of the development hereby ap=
proved, a scheme to demonstrate that the internal noise levels within the r=
esidential units will conform to the =E2=80=98Indoor ambient noise levels f=
or dwellings=E2=80=99 guideline values specified within Table 4 under secti=
on 7.7.2 of BS 8233:2014, and that LAmax,F=C2=A0noise levels shall not exce=
ed 45 dBA more than 10 times between 23.00 =E2=80=93 07.00 hours inside bed=
rooms [as detailed in note 4, Figure 2 of ProPG 2017], shall be submitted t=
o and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.=C2=A0The scheme =
shall be compiled by a competent acoustician on sound insulation and noise =
reduction for buildings. The works specified in the approved scheme shall t=
hen be carried out in accordance with the approved details prior to occupat=
ion of the premises and be retained thereafter.=C2=A0A noise validation rep=
ort demonstrating compliance with these noise criteria shall be submitted t=
o and approved by the Local Planning Authority before any dwelling is occup=
ied. This assessment shall be conducted with windows open for ventilation, =
